Isaac and Hannah met in youth when they were just teenagers and planned their entire wedding before they even got engaged. When we asked Isaac why this was, he just simply said “When you know, you know,”
Hannah just told us that everything was planned and ready, but all that was missing was the ring! Little did she know that Isaac had organised with us to take photos that week of their proposal.
Isaac chose Cape Paterson as the place for their engagement because this was his and Hannah’s favourite beach because they loved the view of the ocean and the cliffs out in the distance.
The proposal picnic setup at the beach
When we arrived, we met his family and chatted with his mum about how excited she was for the both of them to get engaged. They had set up a picnic area with photos of Isaac and Hannah throughout the years together.
Now it was time to wait for Isaac to arrive with Hannah. We figured out the best spots to take photos of them when they arrived. Isaac had warned us that it would most likely rain on the day of the proposal and if we were happy to take photos in wet weather conditions, which we of course were.
Arriving to the beach together before the proposal
We watched from afar as they came closer to the spot that Isaac’s family set up for them.
The moment Isaac got down on one knee and proposed
There was nothing but happy tears in this moment, it felt like time froze for them, you could tell how excited they were and how much they were anticipating this marrying their best friend.
Sunset engagement session on the beach at Cape Paterson
Getting engaged was the perfect excuse to frolic and have fun on the beach together. Isaac told us he was rushing to get to the beach because he didn’t want to miss the sunset. These photos just show that Isaac’s prayers were answered, there was no rain and the sunset was radiating behind them.
There was no stopping the over flowing joy on this day. Isaac and Hannah were in complete bliss and it wasn’t hard to capture some gorgeous photos of them on this special day. They were non-stop smiling and super lovey-dovey which is our favourite kinds of couples to photograph.
