At this engagement session, we met Dango, Mochi, Micah and Rob. We loved meeting Micah and Rob’s dogs and photographing them together as a family.
Micah & Rob’s favourite place – Daylesford
Daylesford is a place that Micah and Rob often love to go to and spend their quiet times together. We asked them what they usually do in their spare time together and they said “we love to just go on walks with our dogs”. So it was definitely fitting to include their dogs in their engagement session together. It was also the place where Rob proposed.

We got them to set up the picnic that they had brought, but Dango decided that he wanted all of the attention always on him and barked throughout the day when we weren’t paying attention to him. Dango is a Labrador and still acts like he’s a puppy, even though he’s a big boy now.
Feeling awkward during engagement photos always ends with laughs
When we got the dogs out of the picture, Micah and Rob looked at each other and laughed. They said they weren’t really quite the lovey-dovey type, when I feel like everyone low-key is! A lot of our couples say they feel awkward in front of the camera, but we always manage to make everyone laugh and feel comfortable.
The engagement ring
Micah told us about how she didn’t want a diamond ring and wanted any coloured gem besides a diamond. Rob took this as though she wanted a colourful ring, and decided to get her 3 colours on one ring, a red gem, yellow gem and blue gem. Somehow Micah found out about this plan and made sure he didn’t pull through with it because it reminded her of the colours from the Filipino flag. Rob thought Micah’s sister gave him the green light for the colourful ring because she low-key wanted to see him fail.
Walking the dogs around the lake
We ended our session by making sure we took the dogs for a walk so the attention could finally be back on them and they wouldn’t have to bark and watch from afar.

We also had to make sure we got the happy family photo of them all together once Dango calmed down and he realised he was going to be in the photos too.
